It's forecasted for Ernesto to go right over Seven Springs. They say 1-2", but we figuring a total washout.
But, we'll be ready for the rains. Oh yeah, we'll be ready for Seven Springs and Ernesto.

Tinker at Seven Springs race

Tinker at Seven Springs Labor Day weekend - Yep, it's been on the message boards and Dirt Rag's got it on their site. Tinker's doing the race on Saturday and opening up a pre-ride on Friday for kicks-n-giggles. May have to put down the karaoke microphone for this one.

Karaoke songs on your mobile phone

Digital Media Asia: News - SK Telecom starts Mobile Karaoke Book - Well, it's not really karaoke over your phone. It's "lookup karaoke songs from your mobile phone" so it's easier for you to select the song on the karaoke machine in the bar when it comes time to get up your guts to get up on the stage. Nice. Interesting idea ... now how will the Kings put this into their bag of tricks? [Karaoke]

Elvis lives

Elvis Lives - Well, in case you haven't seen an Elvi in person lately, here's a good way to get some memorabilia and what not through a 3rd party firm who is working with Elvis Presley Enterprises.

Seven Springs 24-Hour Champion Challenge

We'll be up at Seven Springs on Labor Day weekend to do this race. Going to do a pre-ride the weekend of Aug20th as we've never ridden up there before. Rumor on the trail is that it's got a large climb at the end; I guess they go with the Tour De France type of finishes.

Karaoke machines

May as well start out these posts with some technology. We tested karaoke about 5 years ago with a $100 DVD/Karaoke system from Best Buy. It used a propietary format which meant I spent more on CDs than I did on the system in no time. But, it was a hit. So much of a hit that neighbor's parties would bring their entire party over to our party to karaoke.

I also tried a lot of other computer based karaoke packages and even dabbled at making my own (I can give you links on various other items if you're interested). Time begat time and I kept running out of time so I finally looked up a site that was programmed by a friend-of-a-friend who consults for Apple, karaoke.com. They have a slew of different machines you can buy and, naturally, music. I bought a Cavs SCDG unit. I think they may have taken them off of the market because they tend to overheat, but I think they're the only ones that play the SCDG format. Which means, instead of 20 songs on a disc, I can get ~1000 songs per disc. That means more time singing and less time changing discs. [Karaoke]
